Evening sessions will cover networking, social media, interviewing, and resume help, but you must register online before the start date to reserve a spot. 
• Brookhaven Town Police Blotter: Aug. 17 to Aug. 24, 2026 (patch.com) — Recent Suffolk police reports include several serious arrests that ended up in First District Court in Central Islip, highlighting how many major Brookhaven cases are handled there. Incidents ranged from robbery and arson charges to DWI and animal cruelty investigations, giving residents a snapshot of nearby public safety concerns.
• Medford Man Charged With DWI After Crash With Parked Vehicle Hurts 2, 1 Seriously, In Middle Island: Police (patch.com) — A Medford man faces a DWI charge after police say his car struck a parked vehicle in Middle Island, seriously injuring a Holtsville man, with arraignment scheduled in Central Islip's First District Court. Another passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and detectives are asking anyone with information about the late-night crash to come forward.
