Police Seek Suspect in Medford Home Invasion

Incident occurred in December.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who broke into an occupied home in Medford last month. 

According to police, a man knocked on the front door of a home on Sipp Avenue on Dec. 24.

When the resident opened the door, the man displayed a silver handgun and forced his way into the home, police said.

Once inside, the man stole cash, a laptop computer and a cellphone, police said.

The suspect (pictured in a sketch above) was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, 180 to 200 pounds with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a baseball cap with a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and brown and green Timberland boots, police said.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
