After a slow day on Wednesday the local teams were ready for competition yesterday. Both Rye Neck and Mamaroneck won their field hockey games and shut out their opponents. In soccer Mamaroneck beat White Plains, while the lady panthers fell to Blind Brook.

Game: Blind Brook @ Rye Neck
Score: Rye Neck Lost 2-0
Highlights: Blind Brook got a big win on the road thanks to Taylor Hoff and her two goals. In the win Samantha Handler had an assist and Rachel Askinasi had three saves for the Trojans. Rye Neck’s defense was led by Rehema Ulli and her 17 saves.

Game: Croton-Harmon @ Rye Neck
Score: Rye Neck Won 1-0
Highlights: The game’s only goal came off the stick of Athena Nathan in the first half but it would prove to be enough for the Panthers as the goaltender Yasmina Gourchane had 7 saves the defense proved to be impenetrable.
Sport: Field Hockey
Game: Pelham @ Mamaroneck
Score: Mamaroneck Won 7-0
Highlights: The Tigers were out in full force as they devoured the Pelicans Thursday night on the field. Alicia Meglio led the way for Mamaroneck with 3 goal while Jessica Gardner added a goal and 3 assists. In the loss goal tended Caroline Fink had 10 saves.

Game: Mamaroneck @ White Plains
Score: Mamaroneck Won 3-1
Highlights: The game between the two Tigers was all squared up at half time but then Mamaroneck found the net twice in the second half for the win. Fabian Chapparo, Juan Giraldo and Shaquille Jackson-Lee scored the Mamaroneck goals and Zach Aller had 7 saves in the win.
