The rain played its part in local athletics yesterday as a few contests were canceled due to the poor weather, however the Rye Neck volleyball team was in action as they won on the road. The boy’s soccer team visited Blind Brook but came home with a loss.

Game: Rye Neck @ Blind Brook
Score: Rye Neck Lost 3-0
Highlights: It took three second half goals from three different Trojans to give Blind Brook the hard fought victory. Lucas McBride, Matthew Christal and Zach Streichler each scored in the victory while Dan Fishman had seven saves for the home team.
Sport: Volleyball
Game: Rye Neck @ Port Chester
Score: Rye Neck Won 3-1
Highlights: Rye Neck got beat convincingly in the second set, and then the Panthers came out and rattled off two straight victories to win the match at Port Chester. Paige O’Donnell and Julia Bilotta led the way for the Panthers with nine kills each as Dominique Falcone had 16 assists.
Today’s Schedule:
In field hockey, Rye Neck will host Croton Harmon at 4:15 p.m. The Panthers won the early October match up 2-0.
In girl’s soccer, Blind Brook will head to Rye Neck for a 4:30 p.m. showdown. Rye Neck lost 3-0 when these two faced off in early October.
In boy’s soccer, Mamaroneck will head to White Plains for a 6:00 p.m. matchup.
In field hockey, the Pelicans and Tigers will square off at Mamaroneck at 5:00 p.m.
In volleyball, Mamaroneck will head to Mount Vernon at 4:15 p.m.
