Daily Sports Digest: Soccer Teams Tie While Tiger Field Hockey Rolls

Both local soccer teams tied as Rye Neck played Ardsley even for one extra period and Mamaroneck took a scoreless tie with Lakeland to two overtimes. In field hockey Mamaroneck continued their great season as they shut out Scarsdale on the road.

Game: Ardsley @ Rye Neck

Score:  Team’s Tied 1-1

Highlights: Rye Neck got a foal from Orlando Gonzalez and five saves from Dalton Mendes but the game was called a tie after one overtime due to darkness.

 

Sport: Field Hockey

Game: Mamaroneck @ Scarsdale

Score:  Mamaroneck Won 4-0

Highlights: The Tigers won on the road and beet the Raiders thanks to four goals scored by different players. Jessica Corbin, Molly Cohen, Jessica Gardiner, and Rachel Brissette all scored for the Tigers as Nina Kumar had two saves. In the losing effort Becky Schwartz had three saves for Scarsdale.

 

Sport: Boy’s Soccer

Game: Mamaroneck @ Lakeland

Score:  Teams Tied 0-0

Highlights: It took two overtimes and still no winner was crowned as Mamaroneck visited Lakeland Tuesday night. Mamaroneck’s Mike Genecin was impenetrable in goal as he had eight saves.
