The top seeded Mamaroneck field hockey team got it done over the weekend as the Tigers cruised to a section title. Rye Neck’s second seeded team fell in the championship game to Bronxville.

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Field Hockey

Game: Ketcham @ Mamaroneck

Score: Mamaroneck Won 2-0

Highlights: Jessica Gadiner and Alicia Meglio each put in a goal to advance the Tigers to the section championship.

Sport: Field Hockey

Game: Ossining vs. Mamaroneck

Score: Mamaroneck Won 3-1

Highlights: Jessica Corbin, Rachel Brissette and Jessica Gardiner each scored and Kayla Robinson picked up two assists. In the win Nina Kumar had five saves.

Sport: Football

Game: Mamaroneck vs. Mahopac

Score: Mamaroneck Won 33-9

Highlights: Mamaroneck got out on top early and with exception of a punt block the Tigers played flawlessly as they trounced Mahopac to end the season.

Sport: Field Hockey

Game: North Salem @ Rye Neck

Score: Rye Neck Won 1-0

Highlights: Yasmina Gourchane had five saves and Nicole Morgan picked up the game’s only goal to put the Panthers in the section championship game.

Game: Bronxville vs. Rye Neck 

Score:  Bronxville Won 5-0

Highlights: Bronxville won the section with five different players finding the back of the net. Bailey Wood, Gretchen Richter, Ally Pass, Brook Bonfiglio and Hillary Hamann each scored in the win.

Sport: Volleyball

Game: Hastings vs. Rye Neck

Score: Hastings Won 3-1

Highlights: Rye Neck’s season ended after dropping the third and forth set to Hastings. In the loss Julia Bilotta had 11 kills and two assists.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score:  Mamaroneck 373 (15^th Place)

Highlights: Thad Sheehan led the Tigers with a time of 17:47.13.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class C

Score:  Rye Neck 189 (8^th Place)

Highlights: Brendan Crawley finished in 17^th for the Panthers, and Will Kebbe came in 41^st.

Sport: Girl’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class C

Score:  Rye Neck 199 (7^th Place)

Highlights: Junior Natalie Tanner came away with a third place finish with a time of 19:38.12.
