Planning Board Requires Environmental Review Of 40 Ocean Ave.

The developer wants to tear down the home and subdivide the property.

LARCHMONT, NY — The demolition of a historic Larchmont home is on hold because the village planning board decided to review the environmental impacts of the project. The process, affecting the home at 40 Ocean Ave., will likely take a few months because of the detailed review.

KOSL Building Group, the developer, has yet to file a site plan or application to subdivide the property, lohud.com reported.

KOSL wants to tear down the home and turn the lot into four parcels. That helped spur a moratorium on ‘“teardowns” in the village in 2016 that lasted for about six months.
