Fifth-inning rally sparks Division JV for 18-5 Victory

A 12-run explosion in the fifth inning led Division to an 18-5 win in six innings at Roslyn on Wednesday, improving the team's record to 10-1.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Division pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning.

Austin LaRocca boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate to pace Division. He singled in the second, fourth and fifth innings.

Joe Tracey got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over three innings. The Division pitcher struck out three, walked six and surrendered just one hit.

The top of the second saw Division take an early lead, 2-0. Aaron Gerner got things going for Division with a single. A single by LaRocca then moved Gerner from first to second. Zach Kuller singled, bringing home Gerner and LaRocca.

Division went up for good in the fourth scoring four total runs, which came home on an error and an RBI single by James Curti.
