Levittown Memorial Concert Preserved on CD..from 1974!
A progressive rock band from the seventies issues a CD with vintage recording from their live concert at Levittown Memorial Auditorium.
A CD was issued by Lion Productions on a Progressive Rock band named Odyssey titled "live at Levittown Memorial Auditorium 1974" Seems this local band was trying to get their act going and appeared right here in Levittown The rare audio was recorded by their sound engineer on a portable cassette recorder, so it wasn't even taped professionally. The back cover does show the band on the stage of the Auditorium, so it is kind of a cool little memento of the time.
The music? In spite of the recording process, it comes of similar to the sound the band Yes had at the time. "Winter, summer, spring and fall" has a drum solo in the mix that was a big deal at the time for a band to do. As prog bands were wont to do, "SHE who must be obeyed" goes on for a whopping 15:32! added as an extra is some bonus recordings, including a cover of "Whiter Shade of pale."
