Cops: Wrong Way Driver Was Drunk on Seaford-Oyster Bay
Lindenhurst woman faces multiple charges after Thursday morning incident near Levittown, cops said.

A Lindenhurst woman was drunk at the wheel when she drove the wrong way on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway Thursday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
Highway Patrol received several 911 calls just before 4 a.m. about a blue Volkswagen Jetta that was being driven north in the southbound lanes near Exit 5 in Seaford, police said.

Responding officers found the car in the right lane near Exit 3 on the expressway. The driver, Claudine Castro, 44, was apparently intoxicated and taken into custody at the scene, cops said.

No one was reportedly injured during the incident, detectives said.
Castro was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, DWI, aggravated DWI, DWI with a blood alcohol content above .08, driving the wrong way, and driving without a license. She will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
