Cops: Man Pistol-Whipped, Robbed Outside Nassau Community College

A man was pistol-whipped and robbed as he left Nassau Community College Tuesday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.

The 20-year-old victim had just exited North Hall at 4:15 p.m. when he was approached by two unknown men, detectives said. As the victim walked east on Miller Avenue, one of the men struck him in the head from behind with a gun, cops said.

The duo took the victim’s watch, cellphone, and a gold chain before fleeing in an older, gray Ford Mustang, police said.

The victim suffered a contusion to his face in the incident.

One man was in his 20s, 5-foot-7, and 150 pounds. The second subject who struck the victim was 6-feet, 220 pounds, and was about 25 years old.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
