Division Dragons Varsity took down Manhasset 12-3 on Thursday at Manhasset HS after slamming Manhasset with seven runs in the fourth inning. Joe Piscitelli racked up four RBIs on one hit for Division Dragons Varsity. Piscitelli homered in the fourth inning to break a 3-3 tie and give Division the lead. Veteran Justin Wertz was 3 for 4 on the day for the Dragons. Anthony Papa was a workhorse on the rubber while bagging the win for Division Dragons Varsity. Papa allowed three earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings of work. After giving up 3 runs on 2 doubles and a groundout RBI in the first inning, Papa settled in and didn’t give up another hit until the sixth inning. The bottom of the first saw Manhasset take an early lead, 3-0. Division answered with 3 runs in the second, then burst out with 7 runs in the fourth. Division Dragons Varsity scored one more run in the sixth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. Chris Reilly closed out the game on the hill for Division improving their league record to 3-0.
