A six-run explosion in the third inning hoisted Division Dragons Varsity to an 11-2 win in seven innings over Mineola at Doug Robins Field on Monday. Division Dragons Varsity pounded Mineola pitching, as six hitters combined for eight hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored. Mark Martinez was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. Dan Boldi and Nick Boldi each had 2 RBI’s Anthony Papa racked up two RBIs on one hit for Division Dragons Varsity. He tripled in the fourth inning. Anthony Semonella struck out eight, paving the way for a Division Dragons Varsity win. Semonella allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks over six innings. Division Dragons Varsity built upon its lead with five runs in the fourth. Mark Martinez kicked things off with a single, plating James Varela and Justin Wertz. That was followed up by Papa's triple, scoring Joe Piscitelli and Martinez.
