Division Dragons Varsity scored 3 runs in the third and 2 in the fourth against Southside, securing a 8-4 victory on Monday at Doug Robins Field. Division Dragons Varsity finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third and fourth inning. A steal of home by Joe Spitaleri gave Division Dragons Varsity the lead for good. Spitaleri racked up two RBIs on two hits for Division Dragons Varsity. Anthony Semonella got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered eight hits. In the bottom of the first, Division Dragons Varsity grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Justin Wertz started the rally for Division Dragons Varsity with a single. Then moved from first to third on a balk and a wild pitch. Mark Martinez singled, scoring Wertz. Division Dragons Varsity tacked on another two runs in the sixth. A single by Spitaleri ignited the offense, bringing home Martinez.
