Division Dragons Varsity blew out Lawrence 12-1 on Monday at Doug Robins Field after pouring on eight runs in the first inning. Justin Wertz was hot at the plate for Division Dragons Varsity. Wertz went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the first inning. Mark Martinez went 1 for 3 with a 2 run double in the first and Anthony Papa was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. Lawrence had no answer for Anthony Semonella, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Semonella gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his four innings of work. Division Dragons Varsity quickly matched Lawrence's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. Division Dragons Varsity scored on a two-run single by Anthony Papa. Division Dragons Varsity brought home one run in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fourth, Division Dragons Varsity scored on an RBI single by Adam Herbert, scoring Nick Boldi.
