Division Dragons Varsity's offense erupts for 21 Hits in victory over Roslyn

After two tough losses last week to Southside Division Dragons Varsity bounced back big on Monday by banging out 21 hits en route to an easy win over Roslyn at Roslyn High School. Division Dragons Varsity scored six runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Chris Reilly, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Austin LaRocca, a sacrifice fly by Mark Martinez, an RBI single by Anthony Papa, and an RBI single by Joe Spitaleri. Chris Reilly racked up five RBIs on three hits for Division Dragons Varsity including a 3 run home run. Anthony Semonella struck out seven hitters en route to the Division Dragons Varsity win. Division Dragons Varsity's pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings. Division Dragons Varsity went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on an RBI single by Nick Boldi, an RBI triple by Anthony Papa. Division Dragons Varsity brought home six runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the third, Division Dragons Varsity scored on an RBI single by Reilly, plating Nick Boldi. Division Dragons Varsity increased its lead with five runs in the sixth. A three-run blast by Reilly ignited the offense, plating Papa and James Curti. That was followed up by Tom Deegan's solo home run.
