Division Dragons Varsity shut the door early on Roslyn, capturing a victory on Tuesday at Doug Robins Field. Scoring runs in the first three innings, Division Dragons Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI single by Mark Martinez, an RBI single by Nick Boldi, an RBI single by Joe Spitaleri, and during the first inning and an RBI single by Joe Piscitelli in the second inning supplied the early offense for Division Dragons Varsity. Justin Wertz racked up three RBIs on three hits for Division Dragons Varsity. Mark Martinez's seven strikeouts helped Division Dragons Varsity to the victory. Martinez allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over five innings. Division Dragons Varsity pounded Roslyn pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored. Division Dragons Varsity answered Roslyn's only scoring inning with eight runs of its own in the third. Division Dragons Varsity scored on a solo home run by Anthony Papa, 2 errors, a two-run triple by Wertz, a groundout by Piscitelli, and a two-run single by Nick Boldi.
