Plainedge didn't have a chance on Tuesday, as Division Dragons Varsity won in blowout fashion, 8-0 in seven innings at Doug Robins Field. Plainedge wasn't able to score a run off of Anthony Papa during his six innings on the rubber. Papa struck out seven and allowed two walks and five hits. Division Dragons Varsity scored four runs in the second on an RBI single by James Varela, an RBI single by Justin Wertz, and a two-run double by Joe Piscitelli. Varela racked up two RBIs on three hits for Division Dragons Varsity. Division Dragons Varsity brought home two runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the fourth, Division Dragons Varsity scored on a sacrifice fly by Mark Martinez, scoring Varela. Division Dragons Varsity tacked on another two runs in the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Chris Reilly singled, plating Joe Spitaleri to kick things off. That was followed up by Varela's single, scoring Reilly.
