Division Dragons Varsity beat Clarke 7-3 in six innings on Thursday at Clarke High School behind James Varela who went 2-2. Varela singled in the fifth and sixth innings. Clarke had no answer for Anthony Papa, who kept runners off the base paths in his appearance. Papa gave up just four hits, allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his six innings of work. Clarke jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Division answered with one run in the third. Clarke plated one run in the forth to give them a 3-1 lead until Division took the lead with 3 runs in the top of the fifth. The lead stayed with Division Dragons Varsity after the fifth, when they scored their three runs on a two-run single by Dan Boldi and a walk by Papa.
