Cars Slams Into School Bus in North Lindenhurst
No injuries reported in accident Wednesday afternoon.

A school bus carrying a 16-year-old student was involved in a crash in North Lindenhurst on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
No one was hurt in the crash, which occurred at about 4:35 p.m.
Police said the bus was traveling south on Jackson Avenue when it was struck by a sedan that was turning right from 46th Street onto Jackson Avenue. The bus had the right-of-way as there is a two-way stop at the intersection for vehicles on 46th Street.

The engine in the sedan caught on fire, police said, but it was quickly extinguished. The bus driver, a woman driving the sedan and her passenger were not injured.
The student was not injured but was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for evaluation, police said.

No criminal charges have been filed.
