Lady Bulldogs Softball Falls to Wm Floyd

The Lindenhurst Girls Softball team battled William Floyd at McKenna field, but in a heartbreaker of a game, came up short, losing 7-6.

At last Thursday’s home game the Lady Bulldogs were up by 1 run, leading 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning, but Floyd pitcher Nicole Bayona hit a two-run single to right field to put Floyd up, 7-6.

Lindy loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, but were unable to capitalize and bring any of those runners home.

The Lady Bulldogs’ next two games are on the road. They head to Islip on at 10 a.m., and to Patchogue-Medford on at 4 p.m.

The team’s next home game is when they take on Ward Melville at 4:15 p.m. at McKenna field.
