Lindenhurst’s Jeremy Ruckert Officially Welcomed To U.S. Army All-American Bowl Team

In the 18-year history of the game, Jeremy is just the second player from Long Island ever invited to participate.

On Oct. 2, Lindenhurst High School varsity football tight end Jeremy Ruckert was officially welcomed to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl team. Before an audience of family members, administrators and coaching staff, teammates and representatives from the U.S. Army, Staff Sgt. David Crayle presented Jeremy with a practice jersey. Jeremy will receive his game day jersey when he arrives in San Antonio, Texas for the game, which will air on NBC in January 2018.

In the 18-year history of the game, Jeremy is the second player from Long Island ever invited to participate. Others who have been named to this prestigious team have gone on to earn the titles of NCAA Heisman Trophy winners, NFL first round draft picks, Pro Bowl selections and Super Bowl MVPs.

“This was a great moment to spend with my family and friends,” said Ruckert, who will attend Ohio State next year. “It is going to be a memory that will last forever and I can’t wait to represent this community in January.”
