UPDATE: N. Lindenhurst Firefighter Among 2 Hurt in Crash

Two people, including a North Lindenhurst firefighter, suffered minor injuries in a two-car crash on Straight Path Friday afternoon, sources told Patch.

Police say the firefighter, a 23-year from North Lindenhurst, was pulling into the North Lindenhurst Fire Department parking lot behind another vehicle that ”stopped suddenly” at about 3:30 p.m.

A 1991 Honda Accord heading southbound on Straight Path then collided with the firefighter’s vehicle, a 2015 Dodge Challenger, police said.

The firefighter was treated and released from St. Joseph’s Hospital, police said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 40-year-old Lindenhurst woman, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.
