• Man Suffers Facial Burns As Boat Goes Up In Flames In Copiague: FD (patch.com) — Lindenhurst first responders were called in to assist Copiague firefighters after a 27-foot boat erupted in flames in a local canal, leaving a man with facial burns. Lindenhurst provided both a fire boat and an ambulance, transporting the injured man to Nassau University Medical Center while crews worked about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which remains under investigation.
