West Babylon Woman Robbed in Her Own Driveway
Incident occurred Tuesday morning, police say.

A West Babylon woman preparing to leave for work on Tuesday morning was robbed by a man in her own driveway, police said.
The incident occurred on Outlook Avenue at about 5:15 a.m.
According to police, the 44-year-old woman was in the driveway of her home when she was approached by a man who held an object against her throat. The man dumped out the woman’s backpack on the driveway and stole money. He then fled on foot, police said.

The woman was not injured and no arrests have been made.
The man was described as black and he was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and brown work gloves, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
