  • “I’d like to nominate my son Thomas J. Snyder of Northport for your everyday hero. After my daughter Laura committed suicide by train at the Northport train station (Laura’s voice FB page), he became addicted to drugs...heroin. I sent him away two times. He is approaching his third year of sobriety. He speaks all over Long Island and has spoken at the Town Hall as well. Thomas has put many people in rehab and is a true success story and role model.”

Why do you feel this person is an Everyday Hero?

  • “He is a powerlifter at Gold’s Gym, goes to college and works at Stop and Shop. We have an autistic child and he is so patient with him. Once you meet Thomas, you will fall in love with a kind human being. I say Thomas J. Snyder is your man!”
