Annual Mile Swim Takes Place Sunday In Long Beach
The competition is open to anyone 14 and older who can swim a mile at under 55 minutes.
LONG BEACH, NY — The 11th Annual Lifeguard Memorial One-Mile Swim is scheduled for this weekend.
The swim is honoring the legacy of the men and women who served on the beach patrol.
It takes place on Sunday, Aug. 20 at Riverside Blvd. Beach.

The event is open to all who can swim a mile at 55 minutes or less.
In-person registration fees are $35 ahead of the race. The day of the race entry fee is $40. Active Long Beach lifeguards are charged $20.
