Bristal Assisted Living Resident Zelda Terkeltoub to Celebrate 100th Birthday

Lynbrook Mayor William J. Hendrick will present a citation to Zelda Terkeltoub, a resident of the Bristal Assisted Living Community of Lynbrook, in honor of her 100th birthday during a celebration to be held in her honor on Thursday, September 4th at 5:15 p.m. at the Bristal.

Mrs. Terkeltoub was born in the Bronx on September 4, 1914. She is a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx. She was married twice. She was married for 35 years to Jacob Kaplan, who passed away in 1972, and then she was married to Sol Terkeltoub for ten years until his death.

Zelda is a mother of two and has three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her daughter, Minna Sedler, a Wantagh resident, is retired from the Oceanside School District. Her son, Bob Conway is a radio news anchor in Chicago. Mrs. Terkeltoub is a past President of Hadassah.
