UNION, CT — A Long Beach woman called 911 when she said the driver of a Peter Pan bus locked her inside the vehicle's luggage compartment Sunday, according to a report. The 32-year-old woman called police around 4 p.m. Sunday and told them she was trapped inside the compartment, multiple media outlets reported. The Boston-bound bus had been traveling on Interstate 84 and police tracked her phone and stopped the bus near Union, Connecticut.

The bus was headed through north-central Connecticut and a 911 ping showed the bus was on the Tolland-Willington line near Exit 70, according to reports.

Troopers found the woman inside one of the compartments. She told them a female driver who at that point was a passenger in the bus had "purposely locked" her inside the compartment as she tried to retrieve items from her bag, state police said in a news release.
