The Long Beach City Council sent a letter Wednesday to SNCH CEO Richard Murphy urging him to provide updates and to express their concerns.

Furthermore, the letter stated that the council threw their support behind the use of federal funding for a new facility.
“…we believe that it is imperative that all of the 154 million dollars provided through FEMA goes directly to the construction of the fugue facility to be built in Long Beach due to the unique geographical constraints of our barrier island.”
