Police searching for Autrey Smith in shooting death of Freeport man.

Nassau County Police are searching for a Roosevelt man in connection with a fatal shooting in Freeport this weekend.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Autrey Smith, whose photo was released by police Wednesday.
At 1:05 a.m. Sunday, Smith allegedly fired multiple shots from a semi-automatic weapon into the crowd at a house party on Colonial Avenue in Freeport, cops said.

Lyreek Crawley, 21, was struck in the head by one of the bullets and died at the scene, police said.
Smith may have fled in a champagne-colored Toyota Camry that fled west on Colonial Avenue toward Main Street, cops said.

Smith is described as a black man, 5-foot-6, slim build, 130 pounds, and has short hair. His aliases include “Autrey Watson” and “Pluto,” detectives said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
