Police: 2 Long Beach Men Shot Thursday Morning
Two men with gunshot wounds tried to drive away from a scene early New Year's Day, cops said.

Two Long Beach men were stopped by police and found with gunshot wounds early New Year’s Day, according to Long Beach Police.
Officers received numerous 911 calls about shots fired on Sycamore Court at 3:39 a.m., police said.
First responders to the scene found a car leaving the area and stopped it near the Long Beach Fire Department entrance, police said. Inside the car were two unidentified men with gunshot wounds, cops said.

One man had a gunshot in his abdomen while the second had a wound in the arm, police said. Both were rushed to South Nassau Communities Hospital for treatment. Police did not identify the men or specify how serious their injuries were.
The investigation is ongoing.
