Police: Man Holds Kitchen Knife to Woman's Throat in Robbery
Man robbed woman inside Curiosity car shop in Freeport, cops said.

A man held a kitchen knife to a woman’s throat and robbed her in a Freeport car shop Monday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said the unknown man entered Curiosity Card Shop on Atlantic Avenue at 7 a.m. and approached a 59-year-old woman. After first asking the woman for candy, the man held a large kitchen-type knife to her neck and demanded money, police said.

The woman fell to the ground and the man fled the scene, cops said. The victim’s pocketbook, containing her wallet and personal papers, was reported missing from the scene.
The victim was transported to Nassau University Medical Center for evaluation.

The subject was described as a black man, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, and was wearing dark clothing and a dark hat at the time of the robbery.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
