Cops: Man Robs North New Hyde Park Bank at Gunpoint, Flees

The incident took place Saturday morning, police said.

A North New Hyde Park bank was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning, authorities said.

Nassau Police said a man entered the TD Bank at 110 Hillside Avenue and announced he was robbing the bank, displaying a gun, just before 10 a.m.. With the money in hand, he fled on foot, heading south on North 1st Street.

The man is described as in his 30s, 6 feet, and wearing a red shirt, white painters pants, dark baseball cap and sunglasses, police said.

There were five employees and two customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries, according to police.
