Ruling The Mat: Long Beach Wrestlers Help Take Crown at National Duals

Several Long Beach Wrestlers recently got the chance to represent Team New York, and they came back as champions.

Long Beach kids that qualified for the state team included Charlie Spada, Matt Maquet, Jacori Teemer, Elijah Rodriguez and Tyrese Byron. Their coach Miguel Rodriguez was also asked to go to the National Duals as well.

Spada went 3-1 in the 120-pound weight class, and Maquet did the same in the 105-pound category. Jacori Teemer helped get the ball rolling with a technical fall for New York. Teemer went 6-0 on the day.

In his only match, Elijah Rodriguez took the technical fall, and Tyrese Baron (1-3) took a technical fall as well.
