Scaffolding Installation At Ye Olde Firehouse Begins Tuesday
Lido-Point Lookout Fire Department update on Emergency Site Protection for historic firehouse.

From the Lido-Point Lookout Fire Department:
The Town of Hempstead has approved a building permit for the Lido and Point Lookout Fire District to install scaffolding and a sidewalk bridge for Emergency Site Protection at Ye Olde Firehouse. Construction will begin on Tuesday.
The Commissioners approved a contract with the scaffolding vendor at its meeting on Feb. 10, based upon conditions outlined in a study by Rabco Engineering and a determination by the Town of Hempstead Department of Buildings.

This scaffolding will ensure that no personal or property damage will ensue as a result of the deteriorated condition of the exterior walls.
We certainly appreciate the concern that has been registered for our fire district infrastructure, and look forward to working together as a community to create solutions that can be affirmed by our residents. We thank our friends and neighbors for their continued support.
