WATCH: 'New Girl' Gives Long Island Shoutout

Long Island got a passionate shootout in the latest episode of “New Girl.”

In the episode, Schmidt, played by Max Greenfield, heads to the first class lounge at LAX Airport with his friend Cece Parekh, portrayed by Hannah Simone. While in the lounge, he encounters a pretentious man, played by Barry Bostwick, who tries to trade his gold select card for the rights to Cece.

Schmidt reacts with a glorious rant full of Nassau County references.

“I don’t want to be in any lounge or club that you’re a part of sir…cause I’m from Long Island! I’ll take the railroad! LIRR!”

Schmidt follows up with, “New York! Long Island! Billy Joel… Nassau County! Billy Joel one more time!”

The clip has more than 20,000 hits on YouTube.
