1 Hurt, 1 Arrested After Fight at Holiday Party at Watermill Caterers
Incident occurred late Friday night, police say.

A large fight during a holiday party at a Smithtown catering hall Friday night landed one man in the hospital and another in jail, police said.
The fight broke out at about 11:36 p.m. at Watermill Caterers, located at 711 Smithtown Bypass, police said.
A Middle Island man, 21-year-old Kenneth Leger, was arrested and charged with third degree assault following an investigation, police said.

Police said Leger injured a man during the fight, which reportedly involved dozens of people. The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police did not identify the victim or say what may have triggered the fight.

The Watermill held a “Small Office and Business Holiday Celebration” on Friday night, according to its website.
“Each company will have their own reserved table(s) to experience and participate in a fun-filled evening with great food and dancing,” a promo for the event reads.
