Paper Shredding Event at the Great Neck Library

Event Details

159 Bayview Ave, Great Neck, NY, 11023

The Great Neck Library is hosting a free, secure shredding event where you can have your sensitive documents safely destroyed on-site.

Shred-It USA LLC will be at the Main Library Branch’s Front Parking Lot (159 Bayview Avenue) on Sunday, October 18, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. for secure and free paper shredding. All shredding is done on site while you wait, and the vehicle is equipped with surveillance cameras for first-hand witnessed destruction.

This service is strictly for paper items like personal documents, old tax returns, bank statements, and mail, and while you do not need to remove staples or small paperclips, large binder clips are not allowed. Please notes that there is a strict limit of 4 boxes per vehicle, and the event does not accept non-paper materials, including newspapers, magazines, binders, plastic, metal, or flammable items.

With over three decades of experience, Shred-it is a leader in secure document destruction and information security. NAID-AAA certified for over 20 years, Shred-it follows industry-leading security protocols so you can trust that your materials are securely destroyed, with documented proof of service for your records.

This is a special event as part of The Great Give Back, a community service initiative created by the Suffolk County Public Library Directors Association and the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, in conjunction with the Nassau Library System. The mission of The Great Give Back is to provide a day of opportunities for the patrons of the Public Libraries of New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.
