King Kullen Contributes $5,000 to UNITED TOGETHER Response Fund
Contribution will help families experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.

King Kullen Grocery Co., Inc. (Bethpage, NY) has contributed $5,000 to United Way of Long Island’s UNITED TOGETHER: A Response Fund for COVID-19. The announcement was made by King Kullen Co-President Brian C. Cullen.
“Families across Long Island are experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19,” Cullen stated. “By donating to the UNITED TOGETHER Response Fund, King Kullen is able to help local families as the current health and economic crisis progresses. As always, we are proud to support United Way and its mission on behalf of our customers and our hard-working associates.”
According to United Way of Long Island, UNITED TOGETHER is designed for low-income wage earners who reside in Nassau or Suffolk County and are recently unemployed or have been furloughed due to the effects of COVID-19.

“Thanks to the generosity of King Kullen and our other response fund sponsors,” observed United Way of Long Island President and CEO Theresa Regnante, “those who are most in need of financial help at an extremely stressful time can have access to food and basic household supplies through our gift card distribution. We encourage everyone to help their neighbors throughout Long Island by contributing to the fund.”
