Long Island Athletes empowered by Dragon Hemp & EventPower Partnership

The duo come together to introduce and educate athletes on all-natural, botanical options for training and recovery support

Exciting news for Long Island athletes! Dragon Hemp, the go-to for all-natural, plant-based therapeutics rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is now sponsoring the EventPower LI Triathlon races for the 2024 season.

EventPower is well-known for organizing top-notch triathlons and duathlons, bringing health-conscious families together to promote fitness and community. Founded by a single race (Mighty Hamptons) in 1993 they now host more than a dozen each year, supporting causes along way including CAST and FCA.

Kevin Menard, Dragon Hemp’s founder and a former triathlete himself, is thrilled about this partnership. "I appreciate the commitment EventPower makes to its racers ," he says. "Partnering with them felt natural, given our shared goal of supporting athletes' performance, recovery, and passions."

This sponsorship means great news for athletes competing in EventPower Triathlons. Dragon Hemp will set up pop-up apothecaries at races, offering a hands-on experience with their products. Athletes, families, and friends can learn about the benefits of Dragon Hemp’s formulas and even take home samples to try.

EventPower’s Director, Vicki Ventura, shares the excitement: “We’re proud to partner with Dragon Hemp and support our participants with local businesses that align with our health and wellness goals. We want our participants to enjoy their training, the race, and their journey, and Dragon Hemp products can definitely enhance their recovery strategy.”

One of the main featured products is The Recovery Tincture - a stand out due to its synergistic formulation, combining the anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties of full-spectrum hemp with the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicinal herbs. This blend is not merely a fusion of ingredients but a strategic amplification of their benefits, tailored to meet the heightened needs of triathletes. Other products include the Cooling Balms, Warming balms and more. See their portfolio here.

Dragon Hemp isn’t just sponsoring the races. They’re also backing a team of triathletes, including two parent/child duos from the East End, who will be using Dragon Hemp products to boost their performance and recovery. A major testament to the versatility of the products and the incredible reach of EventPower.

One might ask about the alchemy behind Dragon Hemp's science. This is an interesting combo from both eastern and western value sets and how they find balance to maximize benefits for not only athletes but active individuals, and those seeking assistance with sleep, focus, body nourishment and more.

Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on balancing and enhancing the body's energy flow. Herbs are used to restore this balance, addressing stagnation and deficiencies from physical activity. By improving blood circulation, the body's natural healing is activated, promoting quicker recovery.

Western Medicine emphasizes the biochemical properties of these ingredients. Cannabinoids in hemp interact with pain and inflammation pathways, providing natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory benefits. Antioxidants and bioactive compounds in the herbs protect cells from oxidative stress, boost immune response, and support joint and muscle health. This dual approach meets both immediate and long-term recovery needs, offering a comprehensive solution for athletes.

We're thrilled to see the rise of all-natural wellness in the sports arena as it's an industry often fraught with enhancements that aren't made with long term wellness in mind. Bravo to this duo!
