Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run in Nassau
BREAKING: A van struck a man who fell off his motorcycle Thursday afternoon, police say.

HEMPSTEAD, NY – Police are searching for a light colored cargo van that struck and killed a motorcyclist in Hempstead Thursday afternoon.
According to police, a man was riding his motorcycle westbound on Front Street near Burston Street when he fell off his motorcycle and landed into the eastbound lanes at 1:14 p.m.
A van traveling eastbound struck the man and the driver failed to stop or render assistance, police said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification, police said.
Police are anyone with information regarding the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
