Police: Deliveryman Robbed at Gunpoint in Lakeview

A food deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint by two men Saturday evening in Lakeview, according to Nassau County Police.

At 6:04 p.m., an employee from Hunan Garden in Malverne was making a delivery to a Pinelake Drive home when he was approached by an unknown man, cops said. The subject distracted the deliveryman while a second man with a black handgun knocked the victim to the ground from behind, police said.

The pair stole the deliveryman’s wallet and keys before fleeing east on foot down Chautauqua Avenue, cops said.

The deliveryman escaped uninjured, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Incident happened Saturday night, cops said.
