11/11 - The Dance of the Protectors

It is Veterans Day, and I hope you and your loved ones are safe, nearby, and appreciative. For all of the military personnel who have walked the treacherous terrain, entered hostile territory never meant to be shared, or had your Soul trampled or your body injured, please know that we, the many, are impressively and immensely grateful for your bravery and ability to carry out what needed to be accomplished, despite the harshness, unforeseeable risks, and mounting tragedies that plummeted at your stalwart feet. All your trials, ordeals, and afflictions have brought you to your present perch. Even though the illusion of separateness may have plagued your being while you served, the magnificent truth is that Jesus was with you as the ever vigilant eyes that perceived what you would have not, the fine-tuned ears that picked up a subtle vibration that would normally be out of their limited range, and the unmistakable internal gut feeling that signaled you to quickly flee or appropriately prepare yourself for imminent danger. Jesus is The Shepherd who protects His sheep. Sometimes, he calls upon us to keep others safe and maintain order. These are the exemplary veterans of the past, present, and future, who hear His mighty call, and bear arms to rectify, assist, and save at home and in lands that desperately await Christ’s Loving Light. They are the modern day protectors whose visible presence at times defies reason, and sanctions them to tread in unfathomable situations while they dance to The Lord’s Call for justice and charity for all. The 11th day of the 11th month is a somber call to action for those of us who cherish our freedom, and are encouraged to acknowledge it in a way that demonstrates dignity and honors a righteous path for the courageous who walk among us and the fallen who rest in Jesus’ eternal healing love and grace. We are grateful for you, your choices, and actions. You made all the difference when it mattered most. Whether your precious feet still stroll the earth, or you are waltzing with Jesus in the celestial realm, may your every good deed go to your credit, each act of love to your compassionate faithful nature, and your generous Spirit to the humble humans who wonder how you managed to dance so beautifully when the grounds rumbled and your fatigued feet still trudged onward. Your destiny secured ours. How inspirational! Thank you and God bless.
