Hi Folks- get ready to read about 4 of some of the cutest animals I’ve ever had the pleasure of writing about, and they are all available for adoption right now!

Riddle me this: what’s black and white and ready to be your new forever friend? Meet Hank and Kitty, both waiting to meet you at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter...

Hank is a very handsome 1 year old neutered Hound/pit/Collie mix who loves to play fetch, doesn’t pull on the leash and is social with other dogs. A perfect day for Hank would include a hike or jog through the park, some play time or maybe even some doggie sports like fly ball or agility. With the right training he could be a superstar! He is an active dog who likes to get out and explore the world and live each moment to the fullest. He is responsive to training and is eager to polish up his manners and show them off to people. He would love to be out of the shelter as soon as possible as being in the kennel is hard him. If you more of a cat puuurson, check out Kitty. Kitty is 6 1/2 years old just the sweetest cat you will ever meet. Her owner surrendered her for financial reasons, but Kitty would really love to belong to someone again. Kitty is a sweet girl who truly deserves a forever home.

Poppy is adorable. Poppy’s sweet looks match his sweet temperament. This young male Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix from a Kentucky shelter has rabbit ears and a widow’s peak just like Eddie Munster.
