Altadonna Re-elected Mayor of Massapequa Park
Trustees Harry Jacobson and Tina Schiaffino also win.
Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna has been elected to another two year term.
Altadonna, who will be serving his sixth term as mayor will be joined by trustees Harry Jacobson who was also re-elected and Tina Schiaffino who will serve a full term after being a in November.
The three incumbents were , but Altadonna faced a spirited write-in campaign from supporters of former trustee John O'Brien, a frequent critic of the mayor at village board meetings.

Altadonna received 233 votes for mayor compared to 34 for O'Brien. Schiafino received 236 to win the election while Jacobson got 230 votes. Five votes were cast for other write in candidates.
Altadonna said he was "very honored and very happy to serve the residents of Massapequa Park."

The mayor reiterated several goals he had for his upcoming term that he outlined at a , including some road improvements and a beautification project on the median of Sunrise Highway .
But Altadonna vowed to only proceed with goals when the village has the money to do so,
"My main goal is to keep the village fiscally sound," he said.
