Another Surprising

After my recent interaction with Covid, I reluctantly admitted I need to be more active.

I have been trying. I really have. My daughter’s gentle and daily reminders have definitely been a source of emcouragement.

However, today I realized Covid isn’t the only culprit that caused me to be aware of my lack of strength, it is also Amazon.

Two packages arrived earlier today and were obligingly delivered to my apartment.

One was quite small (and not from Amazon) but held tiny items I had purchased from another vendor. The box contained birthday gifts for the only twins in our family.

The other box was quite large and was a shipment of miscellaneous items I had put into “My Cart,” earlier this week.

Both had been delivered with the speed of light for which I am incredibly grateful.

Although I was about to leave for a luncheon date, I knew I had a few minutes to spare, and decided to open the boxes.

That’s when I quickly realized how desperately I need a more aggressive exercise regime/

I also immediately realized my daughter was right.

Opening the smaller box required as much strength as a professional hand wrestling session.

The larger box almost brought me to tears when the my new kitchen scissors didn’t penetrate the tape. I feared I would never know what had been delivered.

I am aware security is vital in this era of miscellaneous terrors and concerns. However, I also wonder if many of the employees currently working in shipping departments might possibly qualify for high level security opportunities.

I did arrive for my luncheon engagement, but fifteen minutes late rather than too early.

I also looked as if I had been chased by hounds to the dining room destination.

My black dress was covered with bits of white lint that had bonded immediately to the fabric.

My eyes were watering and yes, best not to discuss the hairdo.

Some things require professional help.

Obviously, I learned another lesson confirming I need more exercise if I intend to keep shopping online.

However, I must acknowledge everything I ordered arrived intact

And for that I am truly grateful.
