Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit By Car In Massapequa
Police say he suffered multiple traumatic injuries from the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
A man was killed in Massapequa Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in the area.
According to police, Lorenzo DiBenedetto, 66, was riding his bicycle north on Oakdale avenue at the intersection of Linden Street when he was hit by a 2011 Honda Pilot driven by a 69-year-old man.
Police say that DiBenedetto suffered multiple traumatic injuries from the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
