You can almost call it a holiday tradition. Every year it seems people are constantly looking for the perfect plans for New Year's Eve, but are unable to find them. Times Square is too cold. The rest of Manhattan is too expensive. One alternative is to stay home for the celebration. There's something to be said for partying in familiar surroundings and helping local businesses. Here's a look at New Year's Eve offerings around the Massapequa. Most places require reservations, so call ahead to check availability.
- on Merrick Road is holding a New Year's bash featuring "A Touch of Elvis and Neil Diamond." The price is $60 per person and it includes ncludes dinner, unlimited beer, wine and soda. - The popular eatery is offering a special menu for New Year's Eve. The final seating of the evening will be at 10:30 p.m. Call 516-799-5394.
- You can rock in 2011 at the club on Merrick Road. For a $10 cover charge, there will be a concert by "Boomers Brew" beginning at 9 p.m. The club will provide a free buffet, a champagne toast at midnight, hats and noisemakers.
- P The restaurant is serving a four course dinner from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. The cost is 100 per person. It will include an open bar, a D.J. and a midnight champagne toast. The pub will remain open until 4 a.m.
