Cops: Massapequa Man Tried to Buy Yogurt with Fake Cash
Man used counterfeit $20 bill in Baldwin, was found with several other counterfeit bills upon arrest, cops said.

A Massapequa man tried to buy frozen yogurt with counterfeit cash in Baldwin Tuesday, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said Michael Rapaport, 41, went to Swirl Bliss on Grand Avenue and tried to buy a yogurt. The store’s manager confronted Rapaport, who had tried to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill, cops said. Rapaport ran from the store and rode away on a bicycle, police said.
Responding officers found Rapaport on Grand Avenue and took him into custody, cops said. Rapaport had several other counterfeit bills on his person at the time of his arrest, police said.

Rapaport was charged with 15 counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
